Lots of Pictures

We have had another busy week. Paige has been skating a ton getting ready for the Spring Show and with the school year coming to an end the school has had a lot of fun activities. On Friday we went to the school early and had their celebration for raising money for their Read-a-thon. IHOP was nice enough to sponsor a pancake breakfast. So after eating some yummy pancakes the kids headed outside and watched the principal go up in a hot air balloon and sing the school song at the top of her lungs. She then threw candy out to the kids.

On Sunday we were supposed to go sailing with my brother to get ready for Tortola, but the gusts of wind were too strong so we ended up going to the Living Planet Aquarium. They have a new penguin exhibit. The kids had a lot of fun. Alli and Paige love touching the stingrays.

I love this lobster, it is so huge! I wonder what the market price would be for this guy?

Paige is a little taller than an Emperor Penguin......

....Alli still has a ways to go.

After the aquarium we headed up to Mike's dad's house and had dinner and sat in the hot tub. It was fun, the girls love the hot tub!

On Wednesday Alli and I went with Paige's school to the zoo. I love going on the field trips. Alli loves hanging with the big kids, it doesn't matter where we are.

Now we are looking forward to Mike's mom and Burny visiting. I'm so glad they will be here to see Paige skate in the Spring Show. I'm also looking forward to the end of the Semester, only a few more weeks to go!

Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter Weekend. I wish the weather had been a little warmer, though. I am so tired of the snow! I look forward to our vacations this year and that keeps me going. I just need to find a way to get all the time off work. :)

On Saturday we had our annual Easter Egg Hunt at my mom and dad's house. Once again the guys had to shovel the backyard, but we still had fun. The kids got lots of little treats and toys. Even Alli found some eggs.

This is Alli and her best buddy Katie.

The three muskateers...

Paigey and Bennett

She loved carrying her basket around.

We colored eggs after the egg hunt. Allison decided to play basketball with an egg and tossed it into the purple dye. This was the result......... Luckily we have granite counter tops. :)

Paige and her best egg

This was Allison's best egg. Paige had to help her so it didn't end up across the room.

The finished product.

On Easter morning we waited for Mike to come home from Kennecott. Then the girls found the eggs and their Easter baskets that the bunny hid. Allison's was in the dog kennel and Paige's was in the bathroom vanity. That silly bunny! The girls got lots of stuff from the bunny and everyone got a new outfit. The girls looked so cute!

After that we headed to Easter brunch and after a long wait we were finally able to eat. The kids love the chocolate fountain and the dessert table. I have to say I'm pretty fond of the dessert table myself.

Then we headed back to grandma and grandpa's to see the Easter baskets they had for them. The girls got piggy banks and lots of candy. Allison got a little golf set and Paige got some jewelry. My mom always has the greatest Easter baskets!

For dinner we headed to Mike's dad's house. I am bummed because I forgot to take pictures up there, but I did get this one of a tired puppy on the way home. Abby loves to run with their dog Max. They are pretty much non-stop!

Catching up...... Again!

So I have been really bad with keeping up with the Blog, but school, work, and the kids have kept me busy. March was a busy month. Jimmy was able to visit us for a week and we had a great time. He was able to go to Paige's Ice Skating Lesson, the Woodstock Read-a-thon, and the Zoo with us. As always, he took some great pictures.
Mike and I were able to get away for a night in Wendover with Mike and Robin. We had a lot of fun and thanks to Grandpa Terry for watching Alli over night. :) We had a great dive at Blue Lake and the water was warm. Mike ended up loosing his mask in the lake, but it was found later. We stayed the night at Montego Bay and left there with enough money to pay for the trip. (Well, almost....)
Paige has been really busy with Ice Skating. She now has lessons four times a week. She is so excited about getting brand new skates and should have them this weekend. This month they have been getting ready for the Spring Show that will happen later this month. She did a great job raising money for the school Read-a-thon and loves her new book called the Lightning Thief.
Alli is a handful. She loves getting into things, especially Paige's stuff. She loves to say "hi" and "bye" to complete strangers, and will continue to say bye long after they are gone. She can now say grandma and grandpa. Her new favorite movie is Up, and we watch it over and over again. Honestly, I wish it was on a loop and would just keep replaying.
I can't believe Easter is almost here! I will try to post pictures of our weekend.

Here are some pictures we took last month.....

Alli couldn't take shopping with me anymore!

At the Read-a-thon. It was also PJ day.

Jimmy and Alli reading Where the Red Fern Grows.

Ice Skating......

More Ice Skating.......

At the Zoo.....
I love this picture of Paige. What a cutie!

Alli was not very happy that Paige got on too.....

I love this face Alli is pulling. It was funny because she got this excited to see a waterfall, not the animals.

She loves getting in the dog kennel.

Utah Winter Games 2010

Paige competed yesterday at the Utah Winter Games. She started out her program so strong. Unfortunately she had a fall, but I'm so proud that she got right back up and finished the program. She even caught back up with the music! She loves her new costume and she looks so cute in it. I love that she picked Dancing Queen as her song! She was a little bummed that she got 5th place, but we are so proud of her. She has worked really hard the past few months. She also joined the Murray Silver Blades Figure Skating Club, so she has a chance to go skate a few more times a week. We love you Paige and we are so proud of you!

18 months... a little late

Things have been crazy and I'm really late posting this..... but, Allison turned 18 months on January 22. She has such a personality now. She also makes it quite clear what she wants and will tell you when she is not getting it. She loves her big sister and wants to do everything that she is doing. We have also found out that she is quite the climber. She likes to get into drawers, and sit in them, and has also been found several times on the kitchen table. She is also starting to talk more and will say, "There it is", "Abby", "Paigey", or something close to it.

We love her a ton and love all the energy that she brings to the house. This week she has been a little less active because she has been sick, she had a fever of 104 the other morning. It's strange that I don't freak out when her fever is 103, but that extra degree scares me. She seems to be doing a little better and I hope it goes away soon!

Here are some of my favorite pictures from the last few months....

Holiday Season 2009

Ok, I'm really behind on posts. This has been a very busy Holiday Season and we have enjoyed every moment of it! This post will hopefully catch up the holidays, minus New Year's which I'll post later. We had a great time with our family this year. I was really glad that RJ, Shaun, and Jimmy were able to make it to town for the Holidays. The only thing missing was my grandpa. He was really missed this year. Mike did a great job taking over the egg duties, though.
We started the Holiday Season with two ice skating performances. Paige performed with the Silver Blades Synchro Team and was amazing. One was the Light the Night in South Jordan, which I missed unfortunately. The poor girls were so cold because it was outside and windy. The other was at the County Rink. At the County Rink they also had public skating. Mike, Rylee, Paige, Travis, Bennett, and Bronwyn all went skating. The rest of us watched. :) After the skating we went to our house for pizza and then the whole group headed up to the Zoo Lights. It was really fun, and the kids had a blast! Of course the one year we really bundle up it wasn't that cold, go figure....
Jimmy came to town and was able to see Paige's school performance and helped make some candy. It was nice to see him and I'm so glad he made it for the Holiday Season, even if he had to leave before Christmas. RJ and Shaun were able to make it out the week of Christmas and it was great to catch up with them too. Since I'm working nights I didn't get to spend as much time with our visitors, but look forward to seeing them again in DC in May. That reminds me, we need to book our airfare.....
Christmas Eve was great! We had a very nice dinner at my Mom and Dad's and then opened some presents. Alli did great, she was just a little unsure at first. She couldn't figure out why we were letting her open presents instead of telling her to not touch.
Christmas was really nice! We didn't get up until around 8, which was great! The kids were spoiled by Santa! Paige got a new Mac and Alli got a bunch of noisy toys. We were all spoiled though, thank you everyone. Thanks honey, I love our new dining room furniture! Then we headed to Mike and Robin's for Christmas breakfast; it was delicious. Then off to Mike's Dad's house. We had a great dinner up there and opened more presents.
All in all it was a great Holiday Season, but I'm exhausted and glad we have a year to recover!

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a great Thanksgiving this year. We had an early dinner with my family. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures then. Then we went to the airport to pick up Grandma EJ, Burny, David, and Bess. We had another dinner in Lehi with the Siirola side of the family. It was really nice to see Mike's Mom, Burny, and the kids.
Paige had ice skating on Friday and Bess and David decided to give it a try. They did really well and I think they had fun.
Saturday Paige had two ice skating lessons and then we went to breakfast. After breakfast we went Bowling at Fat Cats. Paige did awesome as always and had some strikes and spares. Allison even bowled her first strike. She loved bowling, but just didn't want to take turns. Later that night we had dinner at Mike's Grandma's.
Sunday we went to my Mom and Dad's and we made Christmas cookies and Gingerbread houses. The Gingerbread house turned out great this year and the kids had a ton of fun.
It was a great weekend and I'm thankful we were able to spend it with our family. We love you guys!
