Easter 2009

Easter was another busy day for us.  Mike worked a grave shift so we waited until he got home to see what the Easter Bunny brought.  The girls got cute new dresses and a ton of candy.  Paige found most of the eggs and Alli helped a little too.

Then we met my family and had brunch at the Gathering Place at Gardner Village.

Then we went to my grandma and grandpa's house.  My mom and dad had huge Easter baskets for the kids.

Then it was off to Mike's dads house for dinner and more Easter baskets.

MS Walk, Squatters, and Coloring Eggs

Saturday was a busy day for us.  We started with the MS Walk at Gateway.  My friend Amie was diagnosed a couple of years ago.  She has really got involved with the MS Society.  I am so proud of her!  Our team was awarded for being the largest team with 80 members.  80 members for a second year team is pretty amazing! It was a fun event.  The weather held out for our 3 mile walk and Alli slept the entire time.

Then we headed over to Squatters for the celebration lunch.  It was fun, thanks to everyone who came!

When we got home we colored Easter Eggs!  We were tired by the end of the day, but it was a lot of fun!

Easter Egg Hunt 2009

Today we had our annual Easter Egg Hunt at my mom and dad's house.  It was a lot of fun!  We have been doing it for probably about 5 years.  Before that we would go to the local Egg Hunts and I can say that we will NEVER do that again!!  The city ones are pretty sad.  You have to watch the parents of other kids who will steal eggs from kids.

We had a good turn out and the kids still had a ton of eggs! Paige decided she needed to use the biggest basket she could find.

Fun at Boondocks!

This weekend Mike, Paige, Allison, and our friend Jim went to Boondocks for Trav's twins birthday party. I was glad they were able to get out and have some fun outside before the weather changed. It was in the 70's on Saturday and it is snowing today!!

They had a great time and I was sad to miss it.  I had to go to work instead.

Allison is Eight Months Old!!

Our baby is eight months old today. She is getting so big, I can hardly believe it! For those of you who don't see Alli on a regular basis here are some things about her.
-Allison is the only morning person in this household. She wakes up early and wakes up happy. I'm not sure how this happened, but we are dealing with it.
-Alli loves to smile and laugh. If you are not paying attention to her she will stare at you until you look at her and then reward you with a big smile.
-Alli loves her big sister. She watches Paige very closely. Paige can always get her to smile.
-She is not quite crawling, but she is creeping.... backwards.
-Alli loves to cuddle when she is tired. She loves to bury her head in her daddy's chest.
-She loves playing patty cake.
-Because she can't move where she wants she sits and flaps her arms. I think she may take off soon.
-She laughs when she is told no. This could be very bad.
-She is loved very, very much!

Weekend Pics

This weekend Mike's mom and our friend Jim stayed with us.  We had a great time.  It was nice to see both of them again.  Jim hadn't seen Allison since August and Ellen last saw her in November.  She has changed so much over the last couple of months.  

Jim is a great photographer and took some pictures of the kids while he was here.  Here are some of my favorites.  

Paige kept both of them busy at the playgrounds.  It was also Ellen's birthday.  Happy Birthday Grandma EJ!

So this is a little late considering Alli turned seven months on the 22nd.  We were a little late getting to our photographer and it takes her a couple of weeks to edit them.  They turned out so good.  She does an awesome job with Alli.  Hopefully they will be up on her website soon (family pictures link).  Here are a couple of my favorites.
