Wasatch Freedom Classic

We are so proud of Paige! She competed yesterday at the Wasatch Freedom Classic and took first place!! She was doing a new program and competed at a higher level against four other girls. She was so amazing! She had to be on the ice at 730 am and because it was in Ogden we had to get up a lot earlier. She had her practice session and fell more times than I have ever seen her fall. It was so crazy and it rattled her confidence quite a bit. However, she took the ice just after 1000 am and nailed it. Way to go Paige!! We love you!

Halloween Show and Reflections 2010

Paige has been a very busy girl. She had her Halloween show on Saturday. It was really cute this year. She loves the costume and wears it all the time. She is entering Reflections this year. She choreographed an ice skating program. I like the song she chose and she did an awesome job coming up with the program. We were at the rink at 730 this morning to record it, ouch! On our way home she told me that we should go there every day before school. Not so sure I could handle every day, but maybe once in awhile.

Here are her programs....

Love this little girl....

Yesterday we were at Petco and a Black Eyed Peas song came on. Alli just started dancing around the store and I had to get it on video. I wish I was more carefree like that and could just start dancing in public just because a good song came on. I love at the end of the video how excited she is to see the fish. I'm not sure why we got the Zoo membership when she is just as excited going to the pet store.

In the next few days I will catch up on some other photos. We went up Millcreek Canyon a few weeks ago and made breakfast with Mike's family. The girls loved it, especially the river. That scares me to death though, I have flashbacks to all the Search and Rescue missions that I used to go on. They usually did not end well. I also need to post some pictures of Trafalga. We know the manager and were lucky enough to be able to go there last Sunday. They are actually closed on Sunday and we had the whole place to ourselves. It was so much fun! The kids had a blast and I can say that the adults did too.

You can't hear the music very well, but here are Alli's moves....

Murray Nature Center

Today I went on a field trip with Paige's class to the Murray Nature Center. It was a pretty cool place, and I didn't even know it was there. The lady teaching them was great. They learned about the local birds and dissected owl pellets. They were grossed out, but thought that it was so cool too. Thanks mom for watching Alli so I could go with Paige. I love being able to go on these school outings with her.

Oktoberfest 2010

Paige did an awesome job at the Oktoberfest competition! She has really been working hard. She took the Gold with her Dancing Queen program! She was so excited! It makes me laugh how nervous I get for her when she is out there. I think I am more nervous than her. She told me that when she is on the ice she isn't nervous at all.

I watched her competition video from Oktoberfest last year (her pink panther program) and I can not believe how much she has improved in one year. She has an awesome coach that helps her. We love Kelly!

I'm so proud of you Paige and all your hard work! You are an amazing little girl!

Sorry for the video footage shaking back and forth. I had little Alli hanging on me and it made it really hard to keep the camera still. I love that you can hear Alli cheer for Paige in the background when she's finished though. She loves her big sis!

Family Photos 2010

We had Yvette take our pictures again this year. They turned out awesome, I love them! Alli certainly was not in the mood to have pictures taken, but she still got some really cute shots.

Thanks Yvette!

Tortola 2010

Tortola, what can I say about it other than it is an amazing place. This would be a place I could easily call home. In fact we were tempted to have the kids shipped down there. I have always had a love for the ocean and I'm glad that I can share my love of the ocean with Mike. I hope that one day this could be home. For now, I love that we were able to spend the time with those we are very close to.

We had a great time swimming in the blue water and hanging out on the white sand beach. We were also lucky enough to go sailing and scuba diving two days. We dove a spot called the Indians and the RMS Rhone, which is a British Naval ship that sunk around 150 years ago. The diving was amazing. I must say that I am very impressed with my brothers abilities as a Captain. Nice work Mike!

We also had a great time at the house. I don't think we can ever thank Keri and Richard enough! Their house is beautiful and the view could not be better.

Tortola residents are very nice and I would say I understood about half of what they said. OK... maybe that's a little optimistic. The driving was a little insane, but it added to the adventure. They drive on the left and make one lane roads a two lane roadway. Their roads also go straight up or down and are a series of hairpin turns.

Here are a few (of the many) pictures we took. We are going to get together and combine our pics into one slideshow. I will post that when it's complete.
